The Directorate of Tourism Kashmir recently organized a cycling expedition from Badamwari, Srinagar to celebrate the beginning of the spring season. The event saw enthusiastic participation from cyclists belonging to various walks of life. This cycling rally was flagged off by the Director of Tourism, Kashmir, Fazlul Haseeb, who motivated and encouraged the participants.
Dir Tourism flags off cycle rally at Badamwari, To mark the beginning of spring season in Kashmir, Directorate of Tourism Kashmir organised a cycling expedition from Badamwari, Srinagar.
The cycling expedition covered a picturesque route through the scenic locales of Rainawari, Dalgate, Boulevard, Hazratbal, Nigeen, and finally, back to Badamwari. The riders got to witness the mesmerizing beauty of nature and soak in the fresh air and warm sunshine. The Director of Tourism Kashmir also distributed prizes among the participants as a token of appreciation.
In his address to the gathering, the Director of Tourism Kashmir stated that the cycling expedition was organized to mark the beginning of spring season and celebrate the iconic heritage site of Badamwari. The event aimed to promote adventure tourism, particularly cycling, which has become a popular tourism product among the youth.
He further added that the Tourism Department has planned numerous events and festivals throughout the year to enhance the experience of tourists and locals in the Kashmir valley. The Department’s concerted efforts have successfully popularized adventure tourism, particularly cycling, which has been embraced by the youth wholeheartedly.
The cycling rally was attended by senior officers of the Tourism Department, civil society members, and adventure enthusiasts who were thrilled to witness the stunning beauty of Kashmir on this expedition.
